How do I maintain active hyperlinks in a form-protected Word doc?
I am creating a document that contains 1) check box forms and 2) hyperlinks
to bookmarked sections of another word document. I need to select the Protect Form icon or Protect Document option in order to make the check boxes active. However, doing so inactivates the hyperlinks. How do I alter the document so that both the check boxes and hyperlinks are active? THANKS!!! |

How do I maintain active hyperlinks in a form-protected Word doc?
NOTE -- I cannot protect certain sections by creating section breaks because
the hyperlinks and check box forms are co-located in the same sections (and sometimes on the same lines) of the document. How do I maintain active hyperlinks in a form-protected Word d
Thanks Suzanne. Will this approach work if the hyperlinks are directed to
bookmarked fields in other Word documents rather than to URLs? "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/HLinksInForms.htm -- Suzanne S. I don't know the answer to that, as I've never used this technique, but I
don't see any reason why it would not work. -- Suzanne S. How do I maintain active hyperlinks in a form-protected Word d
I have used the macro technique but now the text for my hyperlinks will not
break up across multiple lines - a new line of text is started at the beginning of each hyperlink. Is there a fix? "Suzanne S. I don't believe fields (and a hyperlink is a field) can be broken across
lines. -- Suzanne S. Thanks Suzanne. I ended up splitting the hyperlinks into 2. I appreciate the
