How can I copy table formatting in Word 2007?
Hi, I am trying to copy the table formatting from one Word 2007 document to
another. Is there a way to do this? I work with proposals that have to have specific formatting. Each new table is created in Excel 2007 and then imported into Word but it must match the original table format. Thanks in advance. |

The best way is to save the table as a QuickPart.

Thanks for the reply, but what is a "QuickPart"?
There is no topic found in the help file of either Word 2007 or Excel 2007. Thanks, Marco "Terry Farrell" wrote: The best way is to save the table as a QuickPart. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "nwMarco" wrote in message ... I did try the HELP button.
As per my previous posting, there is nothing found for 'Quickpart' in HELP on either Word2007 or Excel2007. Thanks, Marco "Terry Farrell" wrote: Try the HELP button. In that case, go to the Insert Ribbon and hover over QuickParts to open the
pop-up. Then press F1 for a complete rundown on QuickParts. Terry "nwMarco" wrote in message ... I did try the HELP button. How can I copy table formatting in Word 2007?
Thanks very much for your help. Sorry to seem so dense. The new interface
takes a LOT of getting used to for people familiar w/older versions. FYI: Had I searched for "Quick Parts" as two words, or "Quick Tables" as one word, I would have found it the first time. The help system was unable to find "Quickparts" as a single word or to suggest a two word solution. "Building Blocks" would also have been a good search term. Thanks again, Marco "Terry Farrell" wrote: In that case, go to the Insert Ribbon and hover over QuickParts to open the pop-up. Then press F1 for a complete rundown on QuickParts.
