Default Word won't accept keyboard input. Have I accidentally locked it?

All of a sudden word won't let me type anything in my document. Did I
accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut to turn a certain lock function on? How
can I turn it off?

Just one document, or all? If all, you have to activate your purchased
version of Word. Help Activate Product, or you need to purchase the
product because your trial version has expired.

Version of Word?

Thank you for your response - It didn't type in any documents, but I believe
the software had already been activated and wasn't a trial version. I
discovered shortly after posting this question that no application on the
computer (a laptop) was accepting keyboard input so apparently the problem
was not related to Word. The problem seems to have fixed itself after
rebooting several times; thank you so much though!
