DOCX is a new document format pertaining to Word 2007. It is not compatible
with Word 2003, though Word 2003 users can, should they so wish, download and install a conversion pack. If you want to ensure that those users with Word 2003 and earlier can open documents you create, then save them as Word 97-2003 format. This is not simply a question of changing the extension. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org snah wrote: I use the new Office 2007 Please can you explane me the difference btw. suffix *.doc and the new *.docx ?
