Default what is difference between a template and document?

When I create a form I can make it either a template or a document. What are
the differences and advantages? I have Word with Office XP.

Default what is difference between a template and document?

A template is a layout for creating similar new documents and will contain
the macros and toolbars used by the form.
A document is the resulting form.
