Default How do i keep my headers and footers from disappearing in word?

I have a problem where when i use my headers and footers as a background
template for a document of which i type on, they disappear on me when i
scroll up and down and don't usually show up again until i start typing.
Would there be fix to this?

this could be an issue with the graphics card driver. Try downloading and
installing the newest version from the manufacturer's website.

You can also try reducing the hardware acceleration on your machine.
