How do I print a page in color (the whole page)?
I've set my word document up so the whole page color is red and the ink is
black...when it prints out, however, the page is printed just white. How do I get the page to be printed red (as I would be able to do in Power Point)? |

Depends on what version of Word you have and how you made the whole page
red, neither of which seem to know. pasadera wrote: I've set my word document up so the whole page color is red and the ink is black...when it prints out, however, the page is printed just white. How do I get the page to be printed red (as I would be able to do in Power Point)? |

How do I print a page in color (the whole page)?
I have word 2007 and I just selected Page color on the page layout add...I wanted to re-create a power point slide in microsoft word...when I did, it would not print out the page in the color I had selected...on my microsoft file, it was the "red" color, but when it prints it is white not the color (as opposed to when I print in Power Point and the whole page is red). How do I get the page to be printed red (as I would be able to do in Power Point)? In Word 2003, you can go to Tools Options Print and check the box for "Background colors and images". (In Word 2007 this box is in Word Options Display Printing options.) If memory serves, the option isn't available in Word 2002 (XP) and earlier; there, the background colors and images are strictly for the Web output. If you're going to print more than one or two pages of this, though, it's going to cost you a fortune in red ink. It'll be much cheaper to go to an office supply store and buy a package of colored paper. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Click on Office Button | Word Options | Display | check the "Print
background colors and images" box | OK. pasadera wrote: I have word 2007 and I just selected Page color on the page layout add...I wanted to re-create a power point slide in microsoft word...when I did, it would not print out the page in the color I had selected...on my microsoft file, it was the "red" color, but when it prints it is white not the color (as opposed to when I print in Power Point and the whole page is red).
