Updating Table of Contents
When selecting Update Table in the automatically created Table of Contents,
word is not prompting me to update the page numbers, instead the whole table is being updated. Is there a way to control that? I only want the page numbers updated. This only happens in some of the documents that I have, I'm not sure why. thanks in advance /kevin |

I believe you won't be offered the "page number only" update when Word knows
(or thinks) the heading structure has been changed. Try going for the full update once, and seeing if that sorts the problem out. -- Margaret Aldis - Microsoft Word MVP Syntagma partnership site: http://www.syntagma.co.uk Word MVP FAQ site: http://www.word.mvps.org "KW" wrote in message ...
