Default MS Word 2K3(SP2) - Custom Settings in normal.dot don't save

I am not new to Word and have recently come upon a curious problem. I cannot
save any custom settings I make to the global template. I have check the
save feature to prompt for changes to normal.dot, but when I close Word after
making toolbar settings, none of my changes appear when I reopen Word.

The steps above have always worked in the past, so I do not understand what
is happening now. Is there a registry change I have to make so that my
changes will stick?

Is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed on the computer? If yes, then the
Acrobat 7.0 Create Adobe PDF toolbar add-in for Word prevents
Word from automatically saving changes to the normal.dot template
(which is where toolbar customizations are stored). See
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331259.html for several
solutions to the problem.

Well... Who would of thought this would be the case. I do have Acrobat 7
installed.

Thanks for the quick response, this should take care of the problem.
