I have a long document, and want to entirely delete a single page. If I cut
out the text, the blank page still remains. How do I get rid of the entire
page, blank page and all?

Well selecting and deleting the page is correct. If it leaves a blank page
behind, you must be deleting before a paragraph formatted with
PageBreakBefore or there are other hidden non-printing characters on the
page, such as SectionBreak, Next Page. Have you turned on the ShowAll
command to see what is on the page as it cannot be completely empty.
