Default Pasting into a Header and Footer document issue

Hi Gang,

The basic problem I'm having is that I have a client that hired me to
make her a custom header and footer document template. This I have
done. However, the documents she wants to use her H/F template with
already exist, so she'd like to just copy and paste the already
formatted body text into her header and footer template and then save
the result. The problem is copied text carries over the fact that it
didn't have a header and footer, so the header and footer won't start
until the page after the pasted content. Is the real, only, and
logical solution for her to paste the header and footer into the
original document?

Thanks,
Christian Blackburn

Although your message doesn't entirely make sense, I suspect that you are
dealing with one or both of two problems:

1. One or the other document has "Different first page" enabled. See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm

2. One or both documents contain(s) section breaks. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...thSections.htm and
