how do I publish a ms word doc to the web
There are many ways to answer this question, She. If I HAD to use Word in
the first place (because, unfortunately, I don't recommend it), and I didn't have FrontPage, then I would go download a free FTP client. (You can try: http://www.smartftp.com/, though I cannot vouch for it.). Having an FTP client will allow you, very much like Windows Explorer, to click and drag files up to a website. Now, the question is, do you want to upload it as an HTML file (web page)? Or as a Word document (file)? If you do it as HTML, then you must first save the Word doc as a web page (try the options under the File menu and the File--Save as dropdown). If your document has images, you'll have to upload them as well. Another question is... where is your web hosting? Do you have web hosting? You'll need to find out from them the address and username and password to FTP your files. ************ Hope it helps! Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com Check out the NEWsgroup stats!
