Default Macros do not show in the Organizer

I am trying to backup my macros, Styles and Auto corrections using the
Organizer.
But, even though I select Normal.dot from its location all I can see in the
macros tab is NewMacros.
When I choose Tools--Macro--Macros, I can see all of my macros, but not in
the organizer.
What did I do wrong?

G'Day,

The Organizer deals with 'Modules' and NewMacros is a Module.
The NewMacros Module likely contains all your individual macros
as subroutines or Functions.

To manage Macros separately, you must put each in its own Module.

You didn't do anything wrong. The organizer displays modules and not
individual macros. Unless you created them elsewhere macros are saved in the
NewMacros module.

G'Day Graham,

In my copy of Outlook Express the original post has disappeared,
and your reply is flagged as a reply to mine.

This has happened a bit lately - any idea what's happening?

I too have been seeing some posts with some messages obviously missing from
the thread - though not this one
I wonder if resetting the group(s) in OE might fix it?

You did nothing wrong, except possibly record your macros rather than write
them. All recorded macros end up in the module "NewMacros." You can sort out
and organize individual macros using the vb Editor (Alt-F11).

The NGs were recently moved to a new (supposedly more reliable) server, and
there has been some disjunction between the NNTP and HTTP groups. This
should settle out eventually (supposedly with no loss of content, though I'm
skeptical).
