figured it out, in case anyone else has this problem, it's the review
toolbar, the extra margin width on the right hand side is to accomodate the
"balloon" comments during review. To rid the doc of the wide right hand
margin, just right click on the toolbar above, select the "Reviewing"
toolbar, so it shows, and drop down "Show" and select for "Use Balloons:
Never," and the correct margin will return.

I just installed Word 2003 and Adobe Creative Suite, and upon opening Word
Docs the right hand margin is now extra wide, although 1" margins left and
right are set. I cannot find any setting anywhere that specified "booklet,"
which is what it seems like the doc is formatted for. The doc opens in
print view and looks fine, then after a moment it changes to the booklet
view. I suspect this has to do with the Creative Suite PDF integration, but
am not sure.
