text below blank line
I am preparing a generic agreement which contains blanks to be filled in and
want to put below the blank line text that will describe what information is supposed to be filled in on the line. How do you do it without lousing up the line spacing of the document as a whole? I know I've seen agreements done that way. |

text below blank line
It is *extremely* finicking and probably not worth the effort. You have two
choices: 1. Create an extra line for the text below the blanks, placed using tabs, and adjust the line spacing of all lines accordingly. 2. Put the text in text boxes with In Front of Text wrapping. If the form is going to be filled in on the computer, then all you need is something to tell people what goes on the line (often it's obvious anyway). This can be accomplished with MacroButton fields that say, for example, "[Click here and type name]." You've probably seen these in some of the templates that ship with Word, such as the fax cover sheets. For instructions on creating these extremely simple fields (no macros involved, despite the name), see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFm...acroButton.htm -- Suzanne S.
