changing words! HELP NOW!!!
How do i change the same word throught out the whole document, but only doing
it one time? i don't know if that was very clear so let me try and give an example. so you have the word MARCH through out the whole word document and you need to change it to March. how do you do that with out having to change it individualy through the document??? |

In the Find what box type MARCH In the Replace box type March Click on Replace All -- Carol A. You're more likely to get help if you ask nicely. Shouting isn't polite!
But because I'm feeling generous...I think what you're looking for is a find and replace. Edit -- Find (or Ctrl+F). Then click the Replace tab. You would enter MARCH in the find box, and March in the replace with box. Then click on the More button, and click the Match Case option. You have a choice to go through the instances of MARCH in your document and make the replacements one at a time, or just to do them all at once. Unless your document is huge, I'd recommend the first option so you can ensure you really mean to change it each time. Samgoody--Hint for Find and Replace (Control-F): if you want to be
particular about the case, such as in your example, you probably will want to put a check next to Match case. That way it will search for and find only words spelled "MARCH", but not "March" or "march," and replace them with whatever you have in mind. (No "shouting" intended) "samgoody" wrote in message ...
