How do I change table gridlines that won't let me grab them?
Whenever I put a landscape page in the middle of a portrait document and
extend the footer over the to right of the landscape page, weird things happen. The most annoying thing is that if I insert a table anywhere, it won't let me grab the markers on the ruler for the grid lines, nor will it let me grab the table gridlines themselves. Any clues would be much appreciated. |

Interestingly, the cursor stopped flashing so rapidly when I put it in Normal
view. However I still can't grab some of the grid lines. I found that if I click on them multiple times in succession I can sometimes grab them but even then they will only sometimes let me move them. Other times it looks like it's letting me move them and then when I let go of the grid line it appears exactly where it was before. "Suzanne S. This is getting weirder. Now when I create any document, even if it has no
landscape pages in it, I can't move the gridlines. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! "Taz" wrote: Interestingly, the cursor stopped flashing so rapidly when I put it in Normal view. Check the Table Properties to see if an exact width has been set for the
table or any of the columns (and disable auto resizing). -- Suzanne S. You might have a look at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm for some general troubleshooting tips. Try starting using the /a switch and see if that makes a difference, then proceed from there. Also, is it possible that this is a display problem? -- Suzanne S. I have a related problem in Word2003 tables. I can grab the gridlines, but I
have to do it twice for it to work. The first time just leaves the gridline where it is.
