Word docs printing scripts
Hi, all:
When I print a Word document that is from a template, the scripts are printing out; at least I think they are the scripts. (the templates have preset fields which fill automatically when the document is opened). When I open the document from a different computer and print (to any of the printers in the office) the document prints normally. I have tried sending the document I have opened on my computer to other printers in the office and it will print the scripts. This suggests that the problem is with my computer rather than my printer. I checked Google using various search terms, but did not come back with any answers. I recall this happening a few months ago and when I restarted my computer, it worked fine. I have tried this; I have tried keeping the computer off for extended periods of time, but it is still printing this way. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for your suggestions, SMC |

Word docs printing scripts
I assume that what you describe as "scripts" is that you see the _field
codes_, e.g.: { DATE \@ "MMMM d, yyyy } instead of the _field results_, e.g.: February 21, 2007 If this is correct, try this: Select Tools Options Print tab. Below "Include with document", turn off "Field codes". Click OK. -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word " wrote: Hi, all: When I print a Word document that is from a template, the scripts are printing out; at least I think they are the scripts. Thank you, Lene!
While I did not have "field codes" checked, "hidden text" was. Thank you! -SMC On Feb 21, 2:26 pm, Lene Fredborg wrote: I assume that what you describe as "scripts" is that you see the _field codes_, e.g.: { DATE \@ "MMMM d, yyyy } instead of the _field results_, e.g.: February 21, 2007 If this is correct, try this: Select Tools Options Print tab.
