Why do I get a "0" as a value when I merge from an Excel file?
There are a number of reasons why this might happen.
Sometimes, it's enough to check Word Tools|Options|General|"Confirm conversion at open", then reconnect to your Excel source and select the DDE option when offered. This is the way that Word used to do this, and it relies on your having Excel on your system. Otherwise, please hae a look through the reasonably recent entries in this group about Excel (this subject comes up time and again). Using Google Groups to find stuff may help.
