Don't spell check words with underscore
This is a suggestion for an enhancement to spell check. Currently you can
select not to spell check words containing numbers. However, I do a lot of technical documentation and it would be really really helpful to also permit selection of whether or not to spell check the following: 1) Words containing the underscore, or, better yet, a list of entered characters. 2) Words that contain a capital letter at a location other than as the first letter of the word, as in 'iCounter'. Even better, the option of also enabling spell check on such words treating capitals as the start of words: iThisItem would spell check 'This' and 'Item'. Worded differently: no spell check, spell check, spell check as if spaces preceeded each capital letter ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Don't spell check words with underscore
It sounds as if you want to prevent spell checking of code fragments. The
best way to achieve this is by defining a character style as Default Paragraph Font + Do not check spelling or grammar. Apply this character style to words and phrases you want to be skipped by the spelling checker. -- Suzanne S.
