Default Word and Outlook act like frozen after each mouse move

Since a while ago, my MS Word 2002 (10.6775 SP3) and recently also MS Outlook
2002 (10.6515 SP3) started acting like frozen: on and after each mouse move -
attempting to retype or highlight a letter or a word - nothing happens up to
20 seconds.
Unable to trace back what caused the problem, but it is no more than 1 month
old:
everything worked properly many years in row before the problem.
Total physical memory: 654,836 KB.
Total virtual memory: 2,269,616 KB.
Constantly refreshing RAM memory to work with at least 25% of availably
physical memory.
Anti-Virus program runs on my compuiter every night, and no viruses were
discovered recently.
All updates available installed.
Size of the Word document in process - approx. 7 MB.
Simultaneously open other Word documents - 3 (total less than 1 MB).
What could be a reason and solution for such a time-consuming and annoying
problem?
An answer ASAP would be highly appreciated.

See if this helps:
