I need to upload my dissertation for publication. The directions say I must

Hi,

AFAIK, embedding the fontrs in a Word document (which you can do via Tools|Options|Save - or Word Options|Save, for Word 2007)
doesn't affect whether the fonts get embedded in the pdf - that is usually controlled by the pdf-creation software.

In the case of Word 2007, the PDF add-in should embed the fonts if you set
the option to make the PDF ISO 19005-1 compliant.

Thanks Greg,

This seems only to confirm that embedding the fonts in the document, per se, makes no difference.
