Default How do I stop text in a table from moving when I draw over it?

In latest version of Microsoft word I am trying to draw arrows over the cells
of my text box (text has been center justified in both directions) and when I
draw the arrow over the table cell the text moves "out of the way" to the top
of the text box. Turning off autofit selections does not seem to help. How
do I get the text to stay still??

Hi ?B?Q2hyaXNzeWNhdA==?=,

In latest version of Microsoft word I am trying to draw arrows over the cells
of my text box (text has been center justified in both directions) and when I

of the text box. Turning off autofit selections does not seem to help. How

Draw the arrow outside the table. Now look in the text margins (of both the page
and the text box(es)) for the ANCHOR. You can drag the anchor anywhere on the
page. If the anchor is in the table, the text will behave as you describe; if
it's outside the table, the text's vertical alignment shouldn't change.

You need to make sure the anchor is associated with text in the text box, but
not in the table. Drag it to an appropriate paragraph. Right-click the shape,
choose the Format menu, go to the "Layout" tab, click Advanced. In the Picture
position tab, activate "Lock anchor". Now, no matter where you drag the shape,
the anchor won't move.
