Opening templates as documents
I have a 'proceduress' document. I have hyperlinks to
other documents in the document. I want to do something similar to templates, but I want the documents to open as documents, not as a template. If I create a hyperlink to the template, it opens as the template (both in Word and Excel). I want the user to click on a word or 2 in the document and have the new document open, based on the template. Anybody have any ideas |

Hi David,
I have a 'proceduress' document. I have hyperlinks to other documents in the document. I want to do something similar to templates, but I want the documents to open as documents, not as a template. If I create a hyperlink to the template, it opens as the template (both in Word and Excel). I want the user to click on a word or 2 in the document and have the new document open, based on the template. For this, you'd need to use a MacroButton field that runs a macro, and this would create a new document from the template.
