Default getting file size and date modified to desplay in document listing

When running Word 2002 under Windows XP, when opened a file and I asked to
show details when listing documents in a folder, the name, size and date
modified were desplayed. I am now runing Word 2002 with Windows Vista. When
I ask to desplay details when listing documents in a folder, it only shows
the name. I always sorted on "date modified" so that most recently changed
documents would be listed first - now I can't do this. Does anyone know how
I can get the "date modified" and "size" back in the details listed for a
document? Thanks, Harriet

Have you tried Insert/Field and then selected the Info field. The Info field
has switches for Author, file size, save date, etc...

Harriet:

Perhaps the Size and Type columns have just been pushed out of view by the
Name column. Can you make the Name column narrower? Can you use the
horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the dialog box to scroll the other
fields and the column adjustment lines into view?

If you are referring to the Open dialog box, while in Details view,
right-click an empty area and select the columns you want to see from the
shortcut menu.

Incurring same problem with Office 2003 on VISTA. While all other options
under VIEW work, identifying DETAILS continues to provide only a blank area.
Shortcut did not seem to work. Any other clues?
