Default can you print handouts (multiple smaller sheets on 1 page) n Word

Is it possible to print handout pages in Microsoft Word? Similiar to the way
you can print handout sheets in Powerpoint, where you can print 2 or 4 or 6
pages (smaller scaled version of the pages) on a single page.

Set up the page in the document full-size, as if it will print on the entire
page.

In the Print dialog, set the "Pages per sheet" dropdown to the number you
want. Then, in the Pages box, repeat the page number the correct number of
times. For example, if it's set to 4 pages per sheet, enter 1,1,1,1 in the
Pages box.

The page is automatically scaled to the right size and repeated on the
sheet.

In the print dialog box most printers have a facility to zoom 2 pages or more
to one sheet. Hope this helps.

I've tried this in attempting a HORIZONTAL printout, four to a page, and no
matter how or where I choose Landscape it continues to print four to a page
vertically! The original full page doc prints as usual in Landscape. Why does
this method not work?
