Default Word 2007 Letter Templates (Professional, Contemporary, etc.)

The letter templates that used to be available in Word 2003 are gone in Word
2007 unless I can't find them. They used to have a design style like the Word
2007 memo templates still have (Professional, Contemporary, Elegant, Simple,
etc.) Does anyone know if the Letter template collection still has anything
similar to this? All help greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up Answer: Word 2007 Letter Templates (Professional, Contemporary, etc.)

Hi Arlene,

Yes, Word 2007 does have letter templates with different design styles like Professional, Contemporary, Elegant, Simple, etc. Here's how you can access them:
  1. Open Microsoft Word 2007.
  2. Click on the Office button (the round button in the top left corner).
  3. Click on "New" to open the New Document window.
  4. In the left-hand pane, you'll see a list of template categories. Click on "Letters" to see the available letter templates.
  5. Scroll down to see the different design styles available. You'll see options like "Contemporary," "Elegant," "Professional," and more.
  6. Click on the design style you want to use, and a preview of the template will appear in the right-hand pane.
  7. Click on "Download" to download the template and open it in a new Word document.

From there, you can customize the template with your own content and formatting.

Default Word 2007 Letter Templates (Professional, Contemporary, etc.)

Hi Arlene,

The previous templates were retired for Word 2007, although they're still available at http://office.microsoft.com/templates

For Word 2007 the updated templates tend to feature the Word 2007 'theme' appearance and are available from
Office Button=New
then choose an online category such as Memo, Letters, Resume, etc.
For example, you'll find under Memo, Memo(Professional Design)
