Showing Changed Lines
Our office recently switched from Word 2000 to Word 2003. We are having
trouble setting the document to print showing marked changes as we had in the past. In the past when the document is done our track changes are set so deletions are changed from strike through to hidden, insertions changed from underlined to none and the changed line indicator is left showing on the left border. We do this so the users of the instructions we produce can see which lines have been update, added or deleted with out seeing all the underlines or strike throughs. We have been trying to do this with Word 2003 but lose any indication of deletions in the left border when deletions are set as hidden. Any help will be appreciated. |

Showing Changed Lines
Hi FergInIowa
Tools Options Track Changes. There you can specify how you want the insertions and deletions to display, and how you want to indicate changed lines. The big change between the ways that Word 2000 and Word 2003 handle track changes is in the use of the Reviewing Toolbar. For information on how it works, see: How to use the Reviewing Toolbar in Word 2002 or Word 2003 http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/trac...ngToolbar.html For more general information, see How does Track Changes in Microsoft Word work? http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/trac...ngesWorks.html Hope this helps.
