Working on a document in Word 2003. Trying to insert a section break -
next page. There are others within the document behaving just fine.
But in one particular location, the section break refuses to be next
page - it always shows up as continuous. What could be going on
here?

Instead of using a section break, try this: go to the first line of the
"next page." Choose Format-Paragraph, Line and Page breaks tab, and check
"Page break before." But if you don't yet have a second paragraph on the new
page, be sure to uncheck this feature when you create one.

Click in the problem section then go to Page Layout. Click on the Layout tab
and make sure Section Start is set to New Page.

Does Word allow you to change the type of section after it has been
inserted, via File | Page Setup, Layout tab?
