Default Page Height Problem

I created an 8.5 X 11 RTF (saved from Word 2003) file and set it to print 2
pages per sheet. However when it comes time to print the height changes to
22". Changing the source layout to 8.5 X 5.5 splits the document in half.

Is there a way, perhaps editing the RTF file with Notepade, to force the
height to be 11"?

Thanks,
Rick

I should probably give more information on this. The RTF file is a template
used for a merge process. As mentioned below, the template's height is set
to 11" but the height of the file produced after the merge is 22". This is
easy enough to fix by going into page setup and changing it back to 11" but
I'd like to avoid needing to do this.
