Why do I see {TOC\o "1"} instead of actual Table of Contents?
Have searched help and forum topics but don't see this particular issue. I
have created custom Heading 1, Heading, 2 styles and applied those styles to the elements of my report I want to appear in the TOC. Under Index and Tables TOC tab I indicated the features for TOC and designated the levels to appear. Still, only the code appears and not the actual text. Could this be a problem of "borken" preferences? or am I missing something? Thanks for your help! |

Press Alt+F9 to switch between display of field codes (what you
see now) and field results. If that doesn't help, then in Word, click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck the boxes for "All", "Hidden text", and "Field codes" | Print tab | uncheck the "Hidden text" and "Field codes" boxes | OK.
