Default Tabs in Tables

I notice if I do a label mailmerge into a new word doc then there are tabs
in the document - particularly to provide an offset on the left hand side.
However, if I try manually to use them (by using the Tab button on the
keyboard) the cursor just skips to the next label.

Is there a way I can use tabs in tables.

TIA

Rob

Use control tab to insert the tab character into a table cell.
