Hi all Helpers
I would like to be able to type the word "La Trobe" and ensure Word doesn't separate it over 2 lines. Thanks Robyn |

Hi Greg, Thanks heaps for your response - it worked.
do you know if I save this to eg auto correct???????, so that I don't have to do this manually every time I type this word. AutoCorrect won't do it because the first word is only two characters. You
could, though, replace latrobe with what you want, including the hard space. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Sure,
Type it out then select it. Open the AutoCorrect Options menu and you will see La Trobe in the "with" window "Plain Text." Type your autocorrect tip (e.g. latr) in the replace window and click ok. Now type latr in the document and it will autocorrect to La Trobe with the none breaking space. You could also use AUTOTEXT -- Greg Maxey/Word MVP See: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm For some helpful tips using Word.
