Default How can I start Word with a cleared screen?

I scanned a page image into Word using Omnipage14 (OCR) asatest piece.
Editing was OK so I tried to delete the image and came out of Word prog.
Later I opened Word and found this image was still displayed. This happend
every time Word is opened. It cannot be cleared by "Delete".
Although I have used other OCR progs.(FineReader6) before I have not had
this problem.
How can I clear this away so that I can start Word with a clean sheet?
Hope you can help
Regards Winsor
