Word should save doc names with hyphens, apostrophes etc in title
Why on earth do we still have to avoid "special characters" when titling the
name of a Word document? No docs get saved if titled "Evan's List" , "Dial-Up Internet Numbers" or "Me & You" as examples. The apostrophe in the first would have to go, making the doc "Evans List", the second one would have to have the dash eliminated, and in the third one the ampersand would have to be made literal by substituting it with "and". -- Evan ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. I have no difficulty saving documents with any or all of those characters.

This is a restriction imposed by Windows, *not* by Word - applications
programs *cannot* do what the OS won't allow. Special characters are used by the OS for specific purposes & using those characters in file names would create havoc with the file system.
