Create an index with page numbers and list numbers
I am trying to create an index for a large document that has each paragraph
numbered such as follows: 1. Paragraph 1 Fred 2. Paragraph 2 Tom I'm trying to see if the index can contain not only the page number but also include the paragraph # such as: Fred 1.1 Tom 1.2 Thanks. |

I am trying to create an index for a large document that has each paragraph numbered such as follows: 1. Paragraph 1 Fred 2. Paragraph 2 Tom I'm trying to see if the index can contain not only the page number but also include the paragraph # such as: the index generates entries based on what's placed in the XE fields. You could try using Insert/References/Cross-reference to bring the numbered information dynamically into the XE field.
