If you don't have a backed up copy of that file or if you have closed it,
you're out of luck.

Default i saved over my work which i needed, how do i get it back?

If you saved over it, it has been overwritten on disk. There is virtually no
chance of recovering it unless you have a backup or unless you are connected
to a Windows 2003 server with Shadow Copy enabled.
