Default How do I get a background to print correctly on a document?

I have added a background to a document and when I print it, it does not look
like it does on the computer at all. For example, if I am using fill effects
with the shading style of horizontal. On the screen there are thick
horizontal stripes, but when I print it, there are tiny horizontal stripes.
How do I make it print the way it is on the screen?

Thanks.
