How do I set the default to open in draft view?
I am trying to set my Microsoft Word 2007 to open a new document in Draft
view instead of the Print Layout view. Does anyone know how to do this? |

How do I set the default to open in draft view?
For a start, go to Office Button | Word Options | General and check the box
for "Allow opening a document in Draft view." Then try switching the view in a new Blank Document and immediately closing Word. It that doesn't do the trick, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/SaveViewAndZoom.htm, which was written for earlier versions; note that the template you'll be looking for is Normal.dotm. -- Suzanne S.
