Default Two questions; Font printing and print control

I was trying to help a friend with a new computer and new printer.
She also has Word 2007 as part of Office for Students and Home.

I have the printer working, and it will print one copy through Word with Ctrl+P.

But even though we have the font set as Times New Roman 12 pt. It prints at about size 9 pt.
Also, I haven't had a lot of time to study the new menu bars, but where did they put the Print
command, the one that will let you choose the printer and how many copies you want?

As far as the font issue make sure you have the latest driver for the
printer - visit the mfr's web site.

If you click the Office (pizza) button [top left], select PrintPrint you'll
be in familiar territory. However, Ctrl+P ought to be getting you there as
well... Are you saying the keystroke sends the doc directly to the printer
using the default settings & _does not_ produce the Print dialog?

Also, the apparently reduced font size could result from the presence of
"markup" (tracked changes or comments).

The document I was trying to print was simply the line "Now is the time for all good men ----etc."
It was setup in 12 point but printed out very small.
The Printer is an HP Photoprinter 3180 which I had just downloaded the Vista drivers for.

But thanks for the support.
