Type over Headers
My designer sent me a word version of my letterhead so that I could type on
top of it. I believe what he did was take the image and insert it as a header on a blank sheet. I cannot figure out how to type over the image with my own text... If I insert a text box then I lose some needed functionality for the form I am trying to create. As always, any help is much appreciated! Michael |

Type over Headers
Use View Header to open the header pane (or just double-click there).
Select the image so it has a black border and little squares (sizing handles) on the corners and edges. You should see the Picture toolbar -- if not, select it from View Toolbars. On the toolbar, click the Text Wrapping button, the one with the dog picture, and select "Behind Text". Double-click in the body of the document to close the header pane. Now you should be able to type over the picture. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. Jay,
You're a lifesaver! I knew it was simple but I was wracking my brain for nearly an hour... Thanks again!
