trying to spell check in german, but dictionary stays english us
I have installed the office proofing tools, only have english (australia) and
german (german) install, when i go to do a spell check it uses the english (US) dictionary, not the german. If you change it to german, it will only check the next work using the german dictionary and then revert back to english (US). how do i keep it using the german dictionary. |

Select all (CTRL+A) tools language set language - set to German. Uncheck
the automatically detect button. If your PC's regional settings are set to US English, this will be the default language for Word. To spell check other languages, you need to format the text with the appropriate language parameter. You could, for example, create German versions of your main styles. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org trenor wrote: I have installed the office proofing tools, only have english (australia) and german (german) install, when i go to do a spell check it uses the english (US) dictionary, not the german.
