Font sizes
Hi,
I have an unusual question. How many lines of text can be placed in a inch high window for a 12 pt. font and does this depend on the font? Is there documentation that can explain how this is measured? Thanks in Advance, JeffH |

Hi Jeff

No, but it does depend on the leading (distance between two base lines of test). If you are using an exact leading (in Format | Paragraph), it's up to you only. If you use what Word calls "single", that's roughly 120% of the font height. One inch has room for 72 pt. Now you can do the math. :-) Is there documentation that can explain how this is measured? How big a pt is, that you can look up he http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point Greetinx Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MS \ / | MVP X Against HTML | for / \ in e-mail & news | Word |
