Change the default document name on a template (macros)
Hi there,
I have a purchase order form template and the order number is entered manually into a field. The order number is generated within the company and cannot be automatic once the template is fired. Once the form is filled in i wish the user to print to PDF. Is it possible to change the default file name of "document 1" to "Purchase Order_(number in form field)" using macros. Thanks and regards Steve |

Yes, that is possible (at least for the naming of the _Word_ document: Creating sequentially numbered documents (such as invoices, by Doug Robbins) http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/NumberDocs.htm HTH Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MS \ / | MVP X Against HTML | for / \ in e-mail & news | Word |
