Default macros

In 2003 I could have multiple micros (several rows) used in my profession on
a floating toolbar. Is there anyway to simulate that in 2007? Can I display
a list of micros in an open document window? In 2003, a micro could be
inserted from the floating toolbar into an open document. How does this work
in 2007?
