How do I teach the word program to children?
You start by giving each child one of those fat round Crayolas (you know the
ones with the flat spot to keep it from rolling off the desk). From there just use your imagination. If they are willing to learn and you are willing to teach then some learning will inevitably take place. Seriously, don't you think you need to provide a bit more detail about what specifically you want to teach these children and a bit more about the children. Like are they 5 or 15? The best thing you can teach them is to touch type. They will quickly work

Agreed. Children's natural curiosity and fearlessness will take them places
more cautious adults might fear to tread. I encourage all new Word users to display full menus and toolbars and be diligent in exploring menus and dialogs. You can't use a feature if you don't know it exists, and if you have once discovered it, even if you have no present use for it, you will likely remember it (even if you can't remember how to find it) when you do need it. -- Suzanne S.
