Footnote Separator Line
Is there any way to change the appearance of the footnote separator line (the
line that separates the text from the footnotes)? My main desire would be to change the distance of the line from the footnotes. The default setting, in my opinion, has too much space from the footnote to the line. Even with no space of the footnote, there still seems to be quite a bit of space there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

Go to Normal (2007: Draft) view. Choose View Footnotes. In the
dropdown at the top of the window that appears, choose Separator (also Continuation Separator, you'll want to change that one, too). You can make it a new Style (it normally uses Normal), or just change the details while you're there. (With a new Style, I suppose you can change the details without going to all that trouble.) Footnote Separator Line
Thanks! I forgot to mention that I was using Word 2007. I knew that window
was somewhere but I just forgot where. I'm still not seeing how to change the space after the separator. Maybe there's not a way to do that? "grammatim" wrote: Go to Normal (2007: Draft) view. Strike that! I found it. My document was protected at the time, now I see it.
