Default Insert Symbols Not Working In Word

Running Office XP - Word 2002. New Problem

When I try to Insert Symbol in word. Word crashes. Closes. Sends
comment back to MS. Recovers document. Still won't work.

Have re-installed office suite. Same result.

Any suggestions?

Default Insert Symbols Not Working In Word

Problems with this dialog (along with Font, Paragraph, Print, Style, and
other printer-related ones) often points to a damaged printer driver. Try
changing printer drivers, or delete and reinstall the printer. You might
take this opportunity to check for an updated driver for your default
printer.
