Default How to save custom envelope design

I do my own Christmas cards and want to save a custom envelope with all the
font formatting, text placement, etc. How do I go about saving all of that
so I don't have to re-enter all the same information every time I go to print
an envelope?

Thank you for any help or advice you may offer.

Save it as a document or (better) as a template. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...platePart1.htm

Thanks Suzanne, that was an interesting document, but at my age I need a step
by step instruction on how to do this. LOL I got the Address portion ok,
but when I tried to do the Return Address, I just could not figure it out.
I'd make an adjustment to the Return Address and it would push the Main
address to another page. LOL

Default How to save custom envelope design

From your description ("want to save a custom envelope with all the font
formatting, text placement, etc.") I assumed you had already created the
envelope.

See the following articles for some tips:

Modifying the appearance of your envelopes
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/EnvelopeFormat.htm

Changing Word envelope layouts
http://www.gmayor.com/changing_envelope_layout.htm

Using alternative return addresses on envelopes from the Envelope/Label
Wizard
http://www.gmayor.com/Alternative_Return_Addresses.htm

How to detach an envelope from a document
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/DetachEnvelope.htm

Note that if you just select an envelope size as the paper size and use the
built-in Envelope Return and Envelope Address styles, you should have little
difficulty.
