Microsoft Word 97 printing errors
I have been having problems with Microsoft Word 97 lately. I wanted
to print a few copies and when I select file and then print and then I choose how many copies that I want to make; and an error message comes on my screen that "Microsoft Word for Windows 97 application file has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I am running this word program on my Windows XP system. Please help. Thank you very much. Elysia |

Answered in another newsgroup. Please do not multi-post. If you must post to
more than one newsgroup, please cross-post so that replies go to all postings and everyone can see that they question has been answered. Fine, I'll withdraw from the group because no one is giving me the
freedom to post anywhere that I would get an answer. I'm already on some kind of probation. |

I think you're misunderstanding. Terry was indicating that your question had
already been answered in another newsgroup, and that by posting the same issue in different places, it makes it difficult for a) you to know where to look for the answer, and b) others to know that your question has already been answered elsewhere. Posting in one place makes it easier for you, and it keeps others from having to spin their wheels on an issue that's already been resolved. Multiposting is kind of like ordering pizza from multiple pizza places at the same time, taking the first one, then ignoring the others that show up at your door. You have the freedom to post your questions wherever you like. But, by the same token, others have the freedom to be annoyed when they see you posting a question in one newsgroup that you already posted (and was answered) in another. As far as probation... there is no such thing in these newsgroups. They're free and public. Anybody who says you're on "probation" is pulling your leg. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "Elysia" wrote in message oups.com...
